Introducing Tolaria! 💧
Today I am releasing a macOS desktop app for managing markdown knowledge bases, and helping both AI and humans operate them.
It’s free and open source, and always will be.
I have been working on it for three months, and I now use it to run my life and work. I personally have a massive workspace of 10,000 notes — the result of 6 years of Refactoring — which I now operate on Tolaria.
Tolaria is the main collaboration surface with my AI agents: they create new notes there, connect them to what exists, and edit existing ones. Everything is easy to understand for them, because it’s just markdown files. In a way, it’s my implementation of @karpathy's LLM wiki.
Tolaria is also the biggest experiment I have ever run about writing software with AI:
• 2000 commits
• 100K+ lines of code
• 3000+ tests / 85% coverage
• 9.9/10 code health
• 70+ architecture decision records
I am releasing it open source also to use it as a living artifact of how I do AI coding, so you can inspect at any time things like how I write docs, what's in my AGENTS file, what hooks do I run, and so on. You can find it below:
• Newsletter announcement: refactoring.fm/p/introducing-…
• Website: tolaria.md
• Github repo: github.com/refactoringhq/…
Let me know your thoughts!

If you want to learn @cavalry__app I’ll only recommend 4 channels and 1 Paid Resource, which I think beginners would appreciate. First is Cavalry’s own channel. @cavalryapp?si=zRf3ze3DrNcOnfTa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@cavalryapp?si…

We had presentations in school today, and Nigeria featured in four students' works. The first student analyzed Nigeria's oil economy with Norway's. The second discussed Nigeria's smallholding farmers and Ghana's.
Another focused on Nigeria's electricity access and Kenya’s. Another presented on Nigeria's educational spending and out-of-school children, comparing them with South Africa and Kenya’s, based on SDGs 4.1.
One common thread was that Nigeria can't be ignored; everyone is interested in Nigeria. Nigeria was a bad case example in all. And each time Nigeria is mentioned, everyone will shout Victorrrrrr.
One student asked me: what is it about Nigeria.

Hi guys, I built an open-source alternative to @pewbeam_ai in one week.
github.com/openbezal/rhema
Started coding during a Sunday church service. By the following Sunday, we were using it live during our church service. Wild.
Here's what Rhema does: it listens to your pastor's sermon in real-time, detects Bible verse references as they're mentioned, and displays them on screen instantly. No manual clicking, no dedicated slide operator needed.
The tech stack:
- Tauri 2.0 with a Rust backend handling all the heavy lifting: audio capture, transcription pipeline, verse detection logic, and system tray integration
- Local AI embeddings using Qwen3-0.6B so everything runs on-device with zero cloud dependency. Your sermons never leave your machine
- Real-time audio transcription paired with semantic search against a full Bible verse database
The Rust backend was a deliberate choice. We needed low latency audio processing and efficient memory usage for running an embedding model locally, and Rust delivers on both.
Is it perfect? Probably not. But the core functionality works and we're already using it in a real church environment
This is where you come in. Rhema is fully open source and we need contributors to help take it to the next level. Whether it's improving the verse detection accuracy, adding multi-language support, building a better overlay UI, adding support for more Bible translations, or optimizing the transcription pipeline, there's real work to be done and real impact to be made.
If you're a Rust developer, a frontend engineer, an ML enthusiast, or just someone who loves building tools for the church, come build with us.
Star the repo. Fork it. Open a PR. Let's make this the go-to open-source solution for live Bible verse display in churches worldwide.

bro created an AI job search system for Claude Code that scored 700+ job applications and actually got him a job.
AND IT'S NOW OPEN-SOURCE.
It scans multiple company career pages, rewrites your CV per job, and even fills application forms. The repo has:
> 14 skill modes (evaluate, scan, PDF, ...)
> Go terminal dashboard
> ATS-optimized PDF generation via Playwright
> 45+ companies pre-configured (Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Stripe...)
