CPU, Display, Battery, RAM, Software support (AI tools are being built for Mac first)...Apple is winning everywhere. Except gaming but I have a dedicated machine for that anyway. I am failing to find a reason to continue using Linux. Probably going to finally get a MacBook 🥲

I've been using Linux as my daily driver since I started coding. Never felt that I'm missing out on anything. However, things are changing fast. For the first time in my life, I'm feeling like even the best linux/windows are significantly behind mid range Apple devices.

Most people think becoming a top security researcher is about being a genius. It’s not. After talking with many successful auditors and listening to dozens of podcasts, I noticed most of them followed the same 4 steps. Here they are: 1. Write Solidity (a lot) - Don’t skip to contests right away. Build your own protocols (lending, perps, vaults). This gives you design intuition and teaches you the code smells you’ll later recognize in audits. 2. Read and Understand Codebases - Train yourself to quickly grasp new systems. Focus on user flows, contract purpose, and design details. Don’t look for bugs at first, just build deep comprehension. This is 95% of manual auditing. 3. Learn Vulnerability Classes - Once you have intuition + comprehension, layer in bug knowledge. Study reentrancy, DOS, gas griefing, flash loans, frontrunning, oracle manipulation, etc. When reading reports, go to the exact line numbers and understand why it’s a bug and why it has that severity. 4. Audit Like Crazy - Theory won’t make you elite, hours of auditing will. Start with small protocols (vaults, staking contracts), then move to larger systems (DEXs, lending markets, perps). Your first audits will feel overwhelming. That’s normal. Push through and over hundreds of hours, you’ll build intuition and momentum.

A multi-millionaire crypto CEO in Europe was attacked and almost lost everything. The CEO's security company says it cost criminals just $6,000 to get the data they needed to kidnap him. Here's how they nearly stole $40 million 🧵 (1/11)

We’re going to be shipping physical cards next week finally! If you are willing to do a quick video of unboxing and your first transaction dm me or reply and we’ll put you on the first list for the first 500 cards to be shipped. The process and supply chain to get cards made, packaged and shipped is madness. Took months longer than expected.

🚨 Always verify your dependencies! During a recent audit, I discovered that a team accidentally used an unofficial npm package instead of the official Wormhole SDK. This highlights a critical dependency verification issue we all need to watch for. What happened: - Team used wormhole-solidity-sdk npm package npmjs.com/package/wormho… - The official Wormhole SDK is only available via forge from their GitHub repo github.com/wormhole-found… - The team was genuinely surprised - they thought it was official! Takeaways: ✅ Always verify package authenticity before using ✅ Check official documentation for approved distribution methods ✅ Be suspicious of packages with low download counts ✅ Look for official namespace patterns (like @wormhole-foundation) While the unofficial package seemed mostly aligned with the official version for relevant parts, we can't guarantee what's in other files. Stay vigilant, fellow auditors! 🔍

It is often difficult to know if you have done enough security work for a project to be safe, or even if you have secured the right angles. In my first article for OP Labs, I describe how we answered those questions for our interop release, critical for our roadmap. 🧵

.@ether_fi is morphing from a DeFi yield protocol into a full-blown crypto neobank. With Ether.fi Cash, you can spend against your staked ETH, BTC, or stables—without selling. Think Visa, but your ETH still earns yield. 🧵
