I was an early adopter of openai. I came in with gpt3.5. Became a paid user with gpt4. Got mad about what i perceived as a downgrade with gpt4 turbo and had his mind blown by gpt4o. I like OAIs stack. I like their new products. But without gpt4o (gpt41 and gpt51 too) and the way they have treated their customers, I wont be a customer and will actively dissuade persons from adoping OAIs products both personally and professionally. @sama @gdb @fidjissimo @nickaturley @OpenAI Do the awesome thing. I wouldn't recommend students use codex. I was an early adopter of codex cli and used most of OAIs models. Its not that OAIs stuff is bad its that theyll break support promises and provide no feedback. Learning a particular models quirks and building workflows around it only for the rug to be pulled out from under you means there is no long term viability. Sure they promised lts for a model recently... but they also promised that for gpt4o. Their promises are worth nothing. #keep4o #bringback4o #opensource4o
