@jarredsumner Are those 200 issues fixed purely due to rust port or did you fix the issues during the rewrite?

I have pretty high confidence in it at this point. It passes Bun’s test suite on Linux x64 + arm64 glibc + musl, Windows x64 & arm64, and macOS x64 & arm64. It likely closes about 200 github issues. Still refactoring & simplifying. Still need to write the blog post.

Bun v1.3.14 releases tomorrow. If we do merge the Rust rewrite, this would be the last version in Zig

there will be a blog post about this. on what this means for bun, benchmarks, memory usage, maintainability going forward, and also the literal process of doing this (it wasn’t just “claude, rewrite bun in rust. make no mistakes”) this is a 960,000 LOC rewrite, the code truly works, passing the test suite on Linux and soon other platforms. e2e I started working on this 6 days ago. this would’ve been a massive amount of work by hand.

99.8% of bun’s pre-existing test suite passes on Linux x64 glibc in the rust rewrite

Why are Investors keeping such massive cash balance with Brokers when most can simply earn 4-5% parking in liquid funds and pledging it as cash collateral. Top 10 brokers hold upwards of 50K crores. Top 3 hold upwards of 34K Cr, Top broker holds a massive 23K crores+. (Basis FY25 numbers). As a community, we have to increase awareness. Do you work less, same or more with AI vs before AI?

I bought a used Tata Nexon purely for safety and never had peace of mind for the few days I owned it. I could experience all the horror stories I read on reddit in real life. Even the service advisor from the center I was getting my amt gearbox inspected advised me that I go for a creta for reliable diesel car. Tata got the marketing on Safety right and they did push the industry to make safer cars which I have huge respect for but they don’t make a reliable cars and they still don’t. If you go with any cars made by the above mentioned makers, they are most likely to be reliable and won’t let you down when they are the most needed. And for safety, all them are releasing safest cars now if you are go purely by safety ratings. For example, Kia Seltos is the safest (has more points than Nexon) in the recent launches. Victoris scored 5 stars, Venue scored 5 stars. Koreans/Japanese car makers are reliable and are catching up on safety. The same can’t be said for Sierra. Look up the number of breakdowns on reddit for a fairly new launch. Driving safe > safety ratings Peace of mind > service center visits Reliability > fancy features
