The EU's current Quantum Flagship phase alone is over €400M. The laws of the internet are being rewritten. The laws of security have to be rewritten with them. Most of these organizations are looking at years of upgrading legacy systems that were never built with this in mind. That's the real lesson here, not the specific 2029 or 2035 dates, but the fact that the largest, most well-resourced companies and governments in the world are all reaching the same conclusion at roughly the same time. Very soon, The world will have to be quantum-safe. The only real question left is who's already built for it, and who's still retrofitting.
