Darius Acuff is the best OFFENSIVE PG in this class. But his offense don’t out weigh the lack of defense and small size. Small size + no defense = a hard player to build around.

I heard that Darius Acuff Jr. might be the worst defender in the NBA next year. Watched his defense during the SEC Championship to see if people were exaggerating. It's pretty rough.

Why I’m in on Alabama G Labaron Philon as a Mav: - With the flashes of everything he can do on the court, in his two years of college, he can be the most complete PG of this draft - His ball handling is terrific. His use of his off hand is terrific. His deceleration is terrific. And he’s crafty - His playmaking is solid for now, I think he can improve in that area with the play finishers the Mavs have -In Dallas, where he wouldn’t have as much usage as he does this year for Bama, he can get back to being the defender that had him as a first round talent last year, solely off of his defense. This year, he’s going to go lottery because of his offense. - Dallas role year 1: start with Kyrie, run the bench unit when Kyrie is off floor. Focus on defense under Kidd’s instruction and get back to freshman year Philon on defense - He improved his flaws (perimeter shooting and creation) from last year to this year so quickly and with such a drastic leap, it’s a strong case for how his intangibles are

i really think the masses are too low on Labaron Philon. i think he can be at least 80% of what Acuff is on offense with way better defensive potential. he's about the same on pull-up jumpers, better finisher, better FTr. Acuff a better playmaker but Philon still v good there too

For those of you who doubt Flemings go look at a guy similar to him in Cason Wallace in College. Wallace was a horrible 3pt shooter. 29% from 3 then came in Rookie Year and shot 41% from 3. Kingston Flemings is shooting 39% from 3 what’s the worry?

@All_Things_Mavs I’d rather have Acuff over Brown tho. I still think he’s top 8 worthy no doubt. It’s just I don’t believe he fits the criteria to be a Mavs player. With our new face of the franchise do we want other guys around Coop that don’t play defense? I want 1-5 playing defense.
