Terrible decision. Credit cards are the dumbest thing on the planet... It's a usury trap that will enslave you into paying them free money simply to keep up with interest payments. If you need money, use cash advance apps that don't have interest and you pay like like a $10 fee when you pay back but even those aren't the smartest idea because then your paycheck gone right as you get it and you're just using the cash advance as your paycheck. It becomes a cycle that you don't want to get sucked into. That being said it's still smarter than a credit card that will do the same thing but will keep increasing interest on you.

Also more secure. I don’t have a debit card. If my credit card gets stolen and used, I simple report it to resolve the issue and my money in the bank is protected

You won't pay back the money before the monthly cycle. That's the trap.
If you had the money, you wouldn't need to borrow money at a significant interest rate that will destroy any minimal perks you may receive. 2% cash back doesn't mean anything against 22%apr...
This idea you will be financially responsible enough to pay back the money before the interest kicks in, defeats the purpose of needing a credit card in the first place.

The problem with selling to broke people is that no matter how good your product or service is, they'll always feel that it's "overpriced"
It is usually best to price this segment out and refuse to deal with them

Last month, we received a family gift of $260,000.
We debated a lot and ultimately decided for a few reasons to drop it all on our 3.75% mortgage.
Our mortgage went from $750k --> $490k
We recognize we could have made much more investing, but it felt secure to take a little risk off the table. Mortgage calculator shows this will save us $285k in interest.
We then recasted our mortgage and our payment dropped from ~$3,800 to ~$2,400.
