Female mosquitoes only mate when rate of the wing-beats of the male harmonize at a Perfect Fifth above the rate of her wing-beats.

Over the last few weeks, I've been building on a Telegram chatbot in Rust that uses an LLM to be my personal sysadmin. It tries to be as helpful as it can without compromising safety. Stay tuned for more on my Github: github.com/0xfe #ai #llm #rustlang #devops

Today I added sheet music to my app. Thanks to @osmdengine (OSMD), @11111110b (VexFlow) and #musicxml, this was rather easy, thank you so much! As you can see, it just needs minor manual tuning (bounding box a little buggy). 🤔 Next up: updating the UI when playing notes 🎶

@titofafsantos Not yet, but if you have some good ideas for exercises, I can certainly add them. I'd like to build out more levels.

@11111110b Hi! I've been trying out pitchy ninja. Is it possible to create our own exercises? Thanks!

k3s is really amazing! github.com/k3s-io/k3s/ Took no time to move some containers from Google Kubernetes Engine to k3s running on a bunch of Raspberry Pis at home, with only a few minor tweaks.

A few years ago, after I shut down my startup, I experimented a lot with polyphonic pitch detection. Some of these experiments were pretty promising, but then I got a job. Incase anyone wants to carry it forward, I just opened up the repo: github.com/0xfe/deepears

This book is too long. Who wrote all of these words? Most of the words seem like they are in a good order and useful but there really are a lot of them. #reliableMLbook

Long term fixes take time. Our bodies are designed for scarcity, and we're forced to live in a world of surplus. Eat less, move more, let go, and you'll feel a bit better every day. 5/5

Also work on long term systemic fixes: 1) fix your diet, the gut-brain connection is powerful, 2) make exercise a daily part of your life, 3) consume less of everything -- food, news, entertainment, etc., 4) practice self care and detachment. 4/5

This is something I've struggled with for forever. The harder you try to make your brain stop, the more it will resist. 1/5
