Right now our “vaunted” rotation has three starters that have not been competitive at all - two of which I have no confidence in turning it around.
Bryce Miller and Kade Anderson are both ready to go. Here are the realistic options IMO (from most likely to least likely):
1. Hancock gets shifted to the bullpen to make room for Miller, and Kade Anderson continues to pitch in AA until there’s an injury or Castillo continues to falter for another month or so.
2. Hancock gets shifted to the bullpen and Castillo gets a phantom IL stint, and Miller and Anderson take their spots.
3. Miller takes Castillo’s spot via an IL stint or a shift to the pen. Anderson remains in AA until a potential injury.
4. Some kind of trade from the rotation takes care of the problem to net the team an actual RF/DH.
Idk man, but something needs to be done. We can’t keep punting games
Absolutely brutal way to go out but that’s on us for not controlling our own destiny. Gg’s to everyone we played in the elite. Appreciate all the support from the #unshaven . The regain for Major 3 starts now 🌳
Credit to Dan Fucking Wilson for pressing all the right buttons this weekend.
I want to see Mariners Twitter give him his flowers - especially the accounts who are super critical of him.
