🚨🎙️ Jose Mourinho on Tottenham Hotspur’s Relegation “Tottenham? They are a club with a disease. They sack the coaches who actually deliver. Pochettino gave them a Champions League final — gone. They did the same to me days before a cup final. And now? They win the Europa League after 17 years without silverware, thanks to Ange, and what do they do? Sack him 16 days later. No loyalty, no vision, just excuses and a big stadium. They betray the men who fight for them. One day this will catch up — maybe not relegation tomorrow, but they will keep falling until they learn: you don’t build success by destroying the winners.”

The CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, began by sharing his experience in Senegal: “Yesterday was truly memorable for me in Senegal. I had an amazing time exploring the country and its rich history. One of the highlights was visiting the iconic Gorée Island, a place that tells powerful stories of resilience and heritage.” #AfricanFootball #Senegal

The CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, explained the purpose of his visit to Senegal yesterday and Morocco today: “It’s all part of a continued effort by CAF to achieve our objectives across the continent. My message to Senegal was one of deep commitment to work together, to develop football in the country and across Africa. I bring the same message to Morocco: a deep love for Senegal, for Morocco and a call for all of us to collaborate with the leadership and the people for the growth of our game.” On the challenges during the AFCON final in Morocco, Dr Motsepe was candid: “I was extremely disappointed by what happened. Those matters are now before CAS. I am tired of answering the same questions repeatedly in the media. CAF and FIFA’s legal procedures will take their course and I am confident that CAS’s decision will bring unity, including between Senegal and Morocco. I cannot be asked the same questions endlessly. I have 54 Member Associations, competitions and countless responsibilities to focus on.” #AfricanFootball #Morocco

Dr Patrice Motsepe also spoke about refereeing in African football: “Since I became CAF President, one issue that has always concerned me is the suspicion and distrust surrounding referees which is an old challenge in our game. CAF, in partnership with FIFA, has done a lot of work to professionalize African referees, improving their standards and helping them reach world-class levels. “But I was shocked to discover that some of this progress had stalled without my knowledge. Even when I asked the FIFA President, he wasn’t aware of it. This shows there’s still work to do to ensure refereeing in Africa maintains the highest standards.” #AfricanFootball #CAF

Dr Patrice Motsepe addressed the role of CAF judges and ongoing processes: “The CAF judges were appointed based on recommendations received from the CAF Executive Committee. They are professional and highly qualified individuals. “Yes, we’ve faced challenges, but we are overcoming them. We await CAS’s decision, and once it is issued, we will implement it fully and transparently.” #AfricanFootball #CAF
