@robertreese_4 @kyledecorte Did you buy OEM or find aftermarket parts? $1300 for bearing, seal, and stub shaft. We’ve found the correct bearing elsewhere for 1/4 the price but can’t find the seal needed.

@14Ram @kyledecorte Yes, we’ve had to replace a bearing. Midseason. Was not fun. Did the other two baskets in the off-season. Glad we did, there was at least one bearing that did not feel right.

Any disc experts out there? Updated our Deere disk bushings, but almost all them the grease comes out behind the bushing. Not lubricating the tube. Any solutions to this? Or do we need to go back to yearly swapping poly bushings?

@JeffKlomps We’ve replaced before too, hoping someone handier than me can give it a shot. Don’t have much to lose at this point

@14Ram We snapped one once and replaced the whole shank. Welding cast doesn’t usually work unfortunately.

Has anyone attempted to repair this tab on a MaxEmerge2 row unit in the picture? Front piece that holds the seed tube guard in place snapped off and hoping to save the shank from replacement. #ontag

@robertreese_4 @kyledecorte Have you had to replace bearings on your rolling baskets? We can find aftermarket bearings but can’t find the seal for it. Hoping we don’t have to spend $1300 on the bearing & seal kit from mother Deere

@kyledecorte @robertreese_4 I had saved his post from a year ago to refer to when it came time to redo ours. That’s a bummer. Working on these disks, you can see why some guys just trade them when they’re worn out.

@14Ram @robertreese_4 Exact same issue here . Dad took ours all apart last year made sure holes were clean and then put bearing retainer between brass and housing . Now it’s doing same thing again

@KenTrailrider @MdMcLean1 We just bought a new Pallisade in November. We’ve been happy so far. A few things to get used to vs fords we’re familiar with, but good in general. Originally wanted a Telluride but tariff issue pushed us towards its cousin Pallisade

Sooo car I wanna buy is made in US and they won’t ship them to Canada anymore and haven’t since the trade issues started… That’s likely a Canada issue not so much an American issue correct? …

@Shawridgefarm @shaunhaney Shawn did a great presentation on the topic earlier this week. People have the image that EU can replace trade with US, but we do 10x more trade with US than EU & China combined (if I recall correctly)

@Dungannon_Dan @SteveTwynstra @islandviewag @BRITESPAN Great work Dan, that’s well needed for the area. Is there a provision for govt matching funding for hiring staff? Wingham has a CT machine and I’ve heard stories of inability to do scans due to lack of qualified staff at times. Seems a shame to be a paperweight when needed

@SteveTwynstra @islandviewag @BRITESPAN I don’t disagree and not sure the right answer. But I do know first hand how important a MRI machine is to identifying life altering health issues.

I’m grateful to be part of the Magnetic Moments Campaign fundraising team as we work to bring an MRI to the west coast of Huron County. A sincere thank you to @BRITESPAN for this generous donation. amghfoundation.ca/newsroom

Looks like we dodged the bullet on freezing rain today but that hadn’t helped the roads this evening. Lots of black ice out there tonight. Gonna need my skates to make it across the yard tomorrow!

Today's weak system is beginning to track into SW/ Central #Ontario With temps above freezing, precip will likely start off as showers before changing over to freezing drizzle/ snow Even have some thunderstorms over Lake #Huron! #OnWX #ONStorm

@KevinNixon_ Looks like lots of different ways to do it from the comments. We’ve found jacking ours up to get more clearance underneath has worked well and leave it folded up. We rent a scissor lift to do wings and seems pretty smooth the last couple years

Replacing worn pins and bushings on the drill. Not a lovely place to work. Getting a good core and shoulder workout, not to mention the incredible amount of dust and dirt to eat.

@KeithWells6 @GlenStation @EdJHanson @Wilsonfarmgrain I’ve ridden the high speed rain in Taiwan before, so looked up the stats on it. 12 stops over 350 km. A quick search of Toronto to Ottawa shows 452 km. Surely a stop in Oshawa, Belleville, and Kingston would be reasonable at a minimum.

@Breckafarms @LowBoomLowDrift @BDuchek Obviously it would be harder to train it to know every single weed, but even break it down by family? Pigweed family vs nightshade, or pre-load top 20 weeds for your province/state? I’m not a programmer but I think it’s in reach. Precision has eluded to that being a future target

@Breckafarms @LowBoomLowDrift @BDuchek You already generate an as applied map, which is kind of like a density map, and there is tech that can identify weeds. Even the current optical spray tech identifies corn vs weeds or soy vs weeds, so how much more work would it take to identify Canada or US’s top 50 weeds?

Best sprayer suggestion I have received at ag days. Put a front end loader on the the sprayer. Use it to lift totes on and off the spray trailer. Put a bucket on to pick stones during burn off. What else could it be used for? Crazy idea? Would you order a sprayer with it ?
