Today, Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan is again demanding separate electorates, again a demand to divide the nation. If, at that time, ideas like Jinnah’s had been firmly resisted, perhaps the partition of the country could have been avoided. Now a similar situation seems to be emerging again but when do we ever truly learn from history? In any sane country people could have been jailed for such demands but in India they enjoy VIP treatment and remain seated as Member of Parliament!
