BREAKING: We just sued the Defense Department to force the release of files on secretive primate labs in the US, Thailand, and Peru. Hundreds of monkeys are being exposed to bioweapons, undergoing surgical mutilation, and being sickened with deadly viruses. Shockingly, we uncovered that the Pentagon’s largest primate lab, the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research–Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (WRAIR-AFRIMS) in Thailand confines over 500 monkeys for these abusive tests. And they’re covering it all up from taxpayers. The Pentagon has violated the Freedom of Information Act by failing to provide us with records on primate testing between June and December 2025. WRAIR-AFRIMS’ primate lab has quietly operated using millions of taxpayer dollars for decades. It’s the largest monkey lab in the entire Defense Department. It’s their only primate breeding colony. And it has operated with hardly any public scrutiny. The U.S. Embassy estimates that the annual budget for WRAIR-AFRIMS is $30-35 million. Now, we’re officially suing the Defense Department to expose everything about this secretive facility and monkey labs at Ft. Detrick. Man who Raped and Murdered 13-Year-Old Found Dead in Prison. A 43-year-old Detroit man who pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of 13-year-old Na’Ziyah Harris and several sexual assaults on young girls was found dead in a state prison Thursday morning. According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, Jarvis Butts was discovered at the Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center in Jackson County. Officials say it looks like he took his own life, and Michigan State Police are now investigating the death. Butts had just started serving his sentence on March 12th after Wayne County Circuit Judge Nicholas Hathaway gave him 35 to 60 years for the murder charge. He also received 10 to 15 years on each of five counts of criminal sexual conduct involving minors, with all the time running concurrently. Na’Ziyah Harris, a student at J.E. Clark Preparatory Academy, went missing on January 9, 2024, after she got off her school bus on Detroit’s east side and never made it home. Her body has never been found. As part of a February plea deal, Butts admitted to authorities that he killed the girl and left her body in the Rouge River near 7 Mile and Berg. Police recovered clothing items in that area during the initial search, including a pink jumpsuit turned inside out, a black jacket, and a shoe.
