Screaming into the void...this quiet Friday at 11:15am here in Hill East I watched a car run from MPD (who quit chasing after 1 block) and 15 minutes later two others ignore red lights and narrowly miss pedestrians at 15th and NC Ave. 1/2

@DCPoliceDept @CMCharlesAllen @dcmayorsoffice For those keeping track, a shooting just now at 15th and D Street NE. With gunshots blending into the sound of illegal fireworks, someone targeted what has been reported several times as an illegal, unregistered rental at 1452 D St NE

@AmericanAir @Reagan_Airport @MWAAHQ Our flight is 2.5 hours late and now sitting on the tarmac at DCA because no gate and no crew waiting for us. Pilot had to call someone. I don’t they we were unexpected tonight. Why does this happen?

@dcpublicschools @DMEforDC @DCPSChancellor Here is a DCPS bus running a red light at 19th and C Streets NE, after speeding up to enter the intersection. We had to retreat out of the crosswalk to avoid being hit. Fire this selfish driver. Bus BE5732.

@DCDPW Thank you for the advice. Does the string used to tie up a stack of cardboard clog up recycling machinery like plastic film does?

@15thStreetNE @311DCgov Good afternoon. Broken-down cardboard boxes that do not fit in your recycling container can be tied and leaned against the container, taken to Benning Road Transfer Station, or a service request opened for missed recycling for collection.

@DCDPW @311DCgov I helped my neighbor break down a dozen cardboard boxes, made sure no styrofoam or plastic was in them, and stacked them neatly. But your crew still refused to collect them this morning. Why is that? Educate us, please! Alley beside 1427 D Street NE.

@311DCgov @DCDPW can you tow this car already in the 300 block of 15th St Ne? SR 22-00468385 from Sept shows ticketing and referral for towing. It’s over 180 days taking a spot away from DC residents. It’s inoperable and has expired registration. @charlesallen @MayorBowser

@DCDPW @LauraGentileANC Huge thank you to this DPW crew led by Mr Derrick Johnson. Leaf collection on our block was missed and the 311 request to fix it is 10 days old. He called his supervisor and now they are getting it done. The 300 block of 15th St is grateful!

@AlisonHornDC @AmberGove @councilofdc @MayorBowser Depends on what the developer (MCN, I believe) is going to do with it. Affordable housing? Senior housing? Remediate the lead, asbestos, and PCBs in it? Would love to know more.

@_LVLU @theHillisHome We have to break the death-grip that car-centric design and thinking has over the way we live. Our children's future depends on it. As great as the C Street project is, it STILL nods towards cars in unneeded ways - like the turn-lane for 19th.

@theHillisHome What about the people that live along this side walk? Where are they going to park now. I have never seen one person bike up or down C ST NE. Never... never. Wasted money and you misplaced people being able to park in front of their homes

@DCDPW @311DCgov Leaf collection missed. The DPW website says you collected leaves from the 300 block of 15th Street NE on 26 Nov. But the piles of leaves along the street say that is not true. Please send a crew. Thank you!

@ajlamesa I believe this is the only block where they kept three lanes heading west-bound, and it's to accommodate a right-turn onto 19th Street. An unfortunate nod to cars that I believe is not needed.
