Day 15 – 💡 Did you know: different forms of femicide can impact women at all ages of their lives? 📌 Infancy 📌 Childhood 📌 Adolescence 📌 Adulthood 📌 Old Age ✍️ Sign the petition to help protect women of all ages and together, #LetsEndFemicide! change.org/EndFemicide

❤️‍🩹 In some cultures, the honor of a woman is perceived as directly tied to the honor of her family, and if she acts "dishonorably," she is at risk of death via honor-killing, often at the hands of family. ‼️ #LetsEndFemicide and hold perpetrators of honor-killings accountable.

Day 14 – 💡 Did you know: in some cultures, "older women are more vulnerable to sorcery-related femicide due to their economic dependence on others, or the property rights that they hold" – @UNSRVAW ‼️ Sinister beliefs must not lead to death for women! #LetsEndFemicide

❤️‍🩹 33% of women who experience sexual violence contemplate suicide and 13% attempt it, due to mental trauma – @RAINN ‼️ #LetsEndFemicide on college campuses by holding faculty accountable & protecting young women's mental health after traumatic incidents

Day 13 – ‼️ In the US, ⅓ women experience dating violence, and high school & college aged women experience the highest rate of any group – @TheJusticeDept ❤️‍🩹 If left unchecked, dating violence, a form of IPV, can culminate in femicide #LetsEndFemicide of women in #academia

Day 12 – ❤️‍🩹 Today we remember the 14 women murdered in the 1989 #MontrealMassacre, as well as women who are murdered daily around the globe. ✊ #LetsEndFemicide because gender is not a death sentence!

⚖️ The fall of #Roe will lead to: 📌 an increase in maternal mortality 📌 a public health crisis for WOC in the US 📌 pushback against abortion rights worldwide ‼️ @CDCgov must recognize the impact of the overturning of Roe on women's health #LetsEndFemicide

❤️‍🩹 Girls with disabilities are “more likely to be subjected to mercy killings” and infanticides compared to “boys of similar age and disability” – @WomenEnabled 📌 #LetsEndFemicide of women and girls with disabilities!

Day 9 – ‼️ In some cultures, disability is seen as a curse and women with disabilities as witches. Killing them is seen as getting rid of a dual burden. – @WomenEnabled ✊ On this Intl Day of Persons With Disabilities, #LetsEndFemicide of women and girls with disabilities!

‼️ According to @UNAIDS, 7000 women & girls of reproductive age get #HIV weekly & victims of #IPV are 1.5x more likely to get HIV but no treatment, which may lead to death. ✊ On this #WorldAIDSDay, #LetsEndFemicide by ensuring women everywhere have the care they need.
