@TrinityEer @TayVictoria8 @PaulFox13 This x 100. I was a lightning STM for 15 years. I couldn’t tell you a single thing about Amalie outside of my seats and the budlight party deck. I was there for my team and the sport.

@TayVictoria8 @PaulFox13 It’s very functional. I don’t need all the amusement park stuff of newer venues. I’m there to watch a baseball game. Trop does that very well.

If you only know Tropicana Field as a joke, you never really knew it at all. The roof, the catwalks, and the quirks are all easy jabs. But after this past year, I think a lot more people finally understood what Rays fans have known for a long time: it may not have been glamorous, but it took care of this team. And it took care of us, too. Seeing the roof torn apart revealed so much more than a baseball field underneath. It showed what had been taken away, the part that made it feel safe, familiar, and ours. Maybe that’s why so many of us loved it exactly as it was. It’s not perfect, but it’s ours. And while I’m excited for the future, after having to live without it, I think a lot of us are going back with a deeper appreciation for what she means to us. Thank you to everyone who brought her back, and then some. See you tomorrow, sweet dome. #RaysUp

@StadiumShadow The fact they aren’t doing any pregame tailgate events and only “opening” the lot 3 hours prior speaks volumes. Vinik would’ve gone all out.

Can’t tell you how odd this looks to see the second place team has not clinched a spot while the third place team has. It’s all about the regulation wins and Detroit can mathematically catch Montreal in points and pass them in regulation wins

The fact they aren’t doing something special and opening the lots super early to allow people to celebrate being back is mind blowing. I keep hearing only 2 hours prior.

Can anyone at @RaysBaseball or @tropicanafield please answer when the lots are opening Monday? I’ve called and emailed and the only response I can get is from a chat bot saying 2 hours prior to first pitch. I truly hope that is not the case.

Let’s focus on the more immediate threat. Not building a local presence or improving the fan base by showing the games on local cable.Young fans can’t get hooked if they can’t watch and asking family’s to spend more money on a streaming services isn’t the right answer @kenbabby
