Since no one has explained let me try. The MPESA PIN is like a password. No one but you knows about it because it is not stored as plain text. It is hashed. Think of hashing like blending and making sure the output is a certain volume. Database admins will not see what was blended they will see the liquid. Now when you input your password, it is “blended” the same way and the output compared. If the outputs don’t match, you get a wrong password. In short, only you know your PIN. This assumes that Safaricom actually hashed the PIN. I however doubt they care about security because they allow you to enter PINs in USSD. USSD is very legacy and no one should submit anything sensitive with it.

Son: Dad, did you buy land in 2026? Father: No, Son. I bought a 2016 Toyota Fielder for Kes. 1.48M because those bad boys held their value well & now it's 2049 & that 1NZ engine still kicking, so I can sell it for triple the buying price. Son: Legend! 📞0727870018 📍Karen

@mbiti_mwondi Assuming Interest Rate ya Sacco Loan is 3-4% - So when you take like 5M and invest kwa MMF like Etica that gets you 11% interests - si utatoka block mosmos? 😎🏃🏿‍♂️💨

Sacco’s are superior when in need of a loan 3-5 times your savings depending on the sacco at lower interest rates, they still give you dividends at the end of the year but MMF can’t get you loans. I always tell people put your long term savings in a sacco and a quick get money on MMF ideally that money you’re putting in your bank account. In summary Saccos make sense if you’re saving towards a good loan for meaningful investment.
Edwin Nganyi@EdwinNgany

I honestly prefer MMFs to SACCOs. I can’t save my money and then, when I need it, be told to withdraw my membership and wait over 60 days or sell shares. Even with dividends and access to loans(from my savings), it still doesn’t make sense to me. My savings should be easily accessible, over the counter.Policies should change ,the old tactic wont work in this generation.

During the wash-wash panic after some young men were murdered, my old man visited my office to see what I do for a living. He couldn’t understand software development and briefly suspected I was among them. We made peace later 😅 To date he still asks: “Muhia, wikaga atia?”

@Thuranira_1 I bet you are a good lawyer, and you mean good.. But no all families want their kids back on the "streets" some families opt for the delayed response to their kids in remand to teach them an 'important' lesson... In my case if I happen to be in remand prison for crimes...

I was at Industrial Area Remand Prison, and some of the remandees I spoke to said they were there simply because they couldn’t afford bail, amounts ranging from KSh 10,000 to KSh 500,000. What saddened me most is that many didn’t know they could apply for a review of bail terms, or that their parents could present title deeds as bond to secure their release. I left some of them calling home, asking their parents to bring the title deeds to court and try to get them out. Remand is not a place anyone should be, especially when the law presumes you innocent until proven guilty. Lack of information should never be the reason someone loses their freedom.

UPDATE I've been able to trace where the conflict between us and this dealer started. A client paid a deposit of Ksh 50,000 for a car and later called us to carry out an inspection. During the inspection, we discovered that the mileage had been doctored — reduced from 149,292 km to 119,638 km. Following the client’s clear instructions regarding mileage, we did not approve the car. The client then demanded a refund, which the dealer refused to issue. In anger, the dealer turned against us for exposing the truth. He even tried to rally other dealers not to allow us into their yards, lying that we disapproved the sale because of a battery issue. To him, we say — shame on you. Your actions do not reflect the honesty and integrity of genuine Kiambu car dealers, who are known to be straightforward and professional. For pre-purchase inspections, WhatsApp us on 0729 686 646.

I was watching Thhe Mara Nomads and now I think I understand the ladybirds for hating on the 9-5 brothers. Buana There are things you will never experience with your 60 sausand salary. These guys do like 900kms in the desert with cars whose consumption is averagely 4km/l. Wameeka full tank,na wakaeka petrol ingine kwa vibuyu. Tyre mpya za BF goodRich costing about 60 sausand. For one roadtrip, unahitaji kitu kama 150 sausand. Na 50 ingine ya engine service mkirudi. Its an activity for big boys. Sisi walalahoi itabidi tuendelee kuranda randa karura kama pastrolists kabla Yesu atuonyeshe mkono wake
