Yup. You want freedom post-firing, say goodbye to guaranteed contracts 😉

@shawnmullin Yes agreed, real consistent structure. And he’s never really had the high end game breakers in their prime like 97/29, could be a great mix.
English

@17Mintz I feel like he had those Islanders teams overachieving too.

@HernanDaMan I'd say you're overlooking the fact the Oilers have also had 5 different GM's (7 if you count interim tags) since 2013, they aren't exactly holding tenure either.
English

@Rob_Tychkowski @Madi39 Carolina has had so much more playoff success than Edmonton int he last 5 years, great point.
English

@Madi39 Not for elite organizations:
Carolina: 8 years
Tampa: 14 years
Colorado: 10 years
Florida: 5 years

@BleedOilBlue It would take a GIANT pair of nuts to entertain moving McDavid this offseason - but if they did, a 2nd overall type move and some young talent is literally exactly what the Oilers would be looking for. Not gonna happen.

Eklund go back to 😴 sleep
Eklund's NHL Trade, Free Agent Rumors@Eklund
Big Rumor on Hockeybuzz.com The first team has surfaced in the Connor McDavid trade sweepstakes — and it's the San Jose Sharks. The No. 2 pick + Askarov are reportedly just a part of the package. And yes, the Celebrini connection is very real. #NHLRumors #Sharks #Oilers #McDavid #Celebrini #NHL #TradeRumors #SanJoseSharks #EdmontonOilers #HockeyTwitter

Seth jones contract was traded with ease.
PLD forced himself off two teams to a team he wanted, who then also punted him after a year were able to trade his contract.
Considering Philly and Boston checked in on nurse Last summer, when he was asked to waive….
Edmonton Oilerlytics@EdmOilerlytics
Why is everyone evaluating Nurse like he’s gunna get some positive value back? It will cost a first to shed that contract and that’s the truth.
