I think it's funny that people still take issue with the line "You think what? I'm gonna walk out with a laser sword and face down the whole First Order?" as if it were the narrative conclusion of this film. He literally does that at the end! He faces the whole First Order all by himself! The point is that the character had to rediscover his faith and his strength throughout this film. It's a powerful thing to see someone rise from their lowest point to their greatest strength.

What will you do as a parent if your married daughter sends you such messages about harassment from her in-laws repeatedly every now and then? I'm sure all of you with daughters won't waste a second after receiving the first SOS message or call, and rescue her, but sadly, it doesn't happen so often in the offline world. Why?
These messages were sent by Twisha Sharma to her mother, a woman who allegedly died by suicide in Bhopal due to alleged harassment by her husband and in-laws. The girl was well-educated and from an accomplished family. Why didn't the parents act after the first call for help?
And mind you, I'm not blaming them for the outcome. The sole criminal responsibility for this alleged suicide lies only with the alleged harassers. I'm just pointing out the helpless social reality that many parents hesitate, delay, or keep hoping things will improve on their own, even families as well-educated and accomplished as Twisha's.
Just sad. High time parents realise that a divorced daughter is always better than a dead daughter.

Hot take: we don’t need the next Bond actor to play the role for 10-15 years. Do 2-3 movies over 5-7 years and recast. That’s how Bond was pre-Craig and the character was just as iconic (if not more)

Somehow Koskinen still catching strays all these years later. Yet Nicholson, who signed him, and royally fucked the McDavid years by hiring Chiarelli and then Holland sits comfortably in his ivory tower.
And, I'd take Koski over Campbell, Skinner, Jarry any day.

@Xenon3454 @Sumit_Tripathi_ @Robbiej34 It was a decision that was based on what was better for the sport. The gap wasn’t as wide as it was with some other Conn Smythe candidates so it went to Crosby — the face of the game, much like how NFL QBs almost always win MVP.
But I firmly believe Kessel deserved it.
