@RNshiplosses @RMGreenwich On the #SouthWestCoastPath there’s a memorial to the officers and men of HMS Anson who drowned in the sinking. Local man, Henry Trengrouse, witnessed the wreck and devoted himself to invent the "Rocket" lifesaving apparatus which saved thousands of lives.

@mcribbHistory Last summer, while walking the #SouthWestCoastPath, we stayed in #Plymouth and walked around Plymouth Sound where HMS Bellerophon, and Napoleon, were anchored. ⚓️
