.@DoNoHarm filed a complaint with the HHS Office for Civil Rights alleging that Corewell Health, Texas Tech, & HCA discriminate on the basis of national origin, favoring foreign-trained physicians in their internal medicine residency programs over American-trained doctors. 🧵1/

Foreigners stealing our jobs started with the ones no one wanted… now they’re taking ones Americans are begging for. Not only is our government allowing it, they’re funding it!

American taxpayers are funding residency programs… while American medical graduates get squeezed out and foreign graduates get the spots. This is one of the biggest immigration + healthcare scandals in the country. My conversation with @MaryBowdenMD is live now youtu.be/rYTN5pY_WA4 I also tackle why a birthright citizenship/census theft bill is even more important than SAVE Act.

Every year 10,000 American graduates of medical school are not matched with a residency.
Meanwhile, foreign grads take up more and more residency spots.
In 2025, some 6,653 residencies were taken up by non-U.S. citizens, this is 2,300 from 2021.
American students should take precedence over foreign trained students.

More than 30% of US medical residents are trained in other countries. 10,000 of the 43,000 annual medical residency slots are filled by H-1B visa holders. Texas just passed a law to streamline the process for foreign doctors to obtain a license.
