𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹.
I am not a foreign occupier.
My very name, Yehuda (Judea), gave the world the word “Jew.”
My people come from this land, not from Europe, not from colonial powers, but from Jerusalem, Hebron, Shiloh, Tiberias, Safed, Jaffa, Ashkelon, Akko.
We spoke Hebrew here thousands of years before Christianity and Islam even existed.
The Arabs calling themselves ‘Palestinians’ largely trace their ancestry to later migrations from the Arabian Peninsula, Caucasus, Balkans and North Africa.
Language tells the truth about who is indigenous. My tongue was born here, theirs arrived later.
Look at Jerusalem now: the Golden Dome of the Rock snd the Al-Aksa Mosque were deliberately built on top of the remnants of my Temple as a show of dominance, a symbol of colonialism and occupation imposed on my sacred ground.
Long before 1948, Jews were slaughtered simply for returning home: Hebron massacre (1929), Safed, Tiberias, Jerusalem riots of 1936–39. These were not reactions to occupation’, but to our Jewish existence.
Their leader, Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, collaborated with Hitler, and advocated the extermination of the Jews in the same way as the German Nazis. Al-Husseini inspired generations of Palestinian terror that continues till this very day.
That hatred predated my rebirth as a state, and still fuels much of the violence today.
Centuries earlier, my homeland was colonized by empires.
The Romans, under Emperor Hadrian, crushed Jewish revolts, destroyed my Temple, and renamed my land ‘Palestina’ in an attempt to erase its Jewish identity.
At that time, there were no Arabs here. Islam and Arab migration to this land came centuries later.
After Rome came the Byzantines, then the Arabs, then the Crusaders, then the Ottomans, then the British.
Every empire claimed dominion over my home, yet my people remained, praying, speaking our language, and yearning for the reestablishment of our beloved Israel.
Before 1948, Jewish institutions carried the name proudly: “The Palestine Post” (now The Jerusalem Post), the “Anglo-Palestine Bank,” the “Palestine Symphony Orchestra.”
Arab inhabitants rejected this label; they identified with Greater Syria or their tribal origins.
It was only in the 1964 the KGB created ‘historic Palestine’ with an invented 5,000 years of ‘history’. They appointed the Egyptian mercenary Yasser Arafat as leader of the PLO or Palestine Liberation Organization, not to build a state alongside mine, but to eradicate the Jewish one.
In 1947, the United Nations offered two states: one Jewish, one Arab. I said yes.
The Arab world said no and launched a war to wipe me out.
Many Arabs fled on orders from their own leaders, promising they’d return ‘after the Jews were gone’.
At the same time, over 850,000 Jews were violently expelled from Arab countries, never allowed to return.
No one calls that a “Nakba.”
The Arabs already were given 74.1% of Mandated Palestine, called Jordan, in breach of international law, established in San Remo in 1920. That was not enough: in 1948 Jordan, assisted and armed by Britain, invaded, ethnically cleansed and occupied Judea, Samaria and Eastern Jerusalem. I liberated these occupied territories in 1967.
I have chosen peace repeatedly: Oslo Accords in the 1990s, Camp David in 2000, Gaza withdrawal in 2005, the Olmert plan (97% of the West Bank, shared Jerusalem) in 2008.
Every time, Palestinian Arab leaders answered with intifadas, suicide bombings, rockets on my cities, children stabbed at bus stops.
They build tunnels, not trust.
They reject every statehood offer because the true goal has never been two states, but no Jewish state at all.
And while you slander my state with ‘apartheid, genocide and ethnic cleansing’, know this: over 20% of my citizens are Arabs, Druze and Bedouins with full rights: judges, doctors, lawmakers, soldiers, entrepreneurs, represented in every layer of society.
No other country in the Middle East treats minorities with more inclusion than I do.
I am not a ‘terrorist state’.
I am the only democracy in the Middle East, defending my people against endless jihad.
My army warns civilians before striking terror nests hidden in hospitals and schools.
My ‘walls and fences’ exist because my children were blown up on buses, not because I seek domination.
I am not an occupier, not a colonial project, not a foreign implant.
I am the native people of this land, speaking the native language of this land, surviving every empire that tried to erase me.
The real lie? That I stole this country.
The truth? I am fighting for my right to live, in my own ancestral homeland, and I will never stop defending myself.
