@MuayCe Probably, the single, best resource made available worldwide for families, historians and collectors of the period. Well done to all involved.

@MOF1916 Mick - magpie might be an appropriate term. One physical item salvaged - originally described as “treen” but more likely “the” mallet used to typeset the Proclamation.

Extraordinary archive of Easter Rising material collected from Liberty Hall by British officer, 2nd Lt DK Cooper. Most of this collection is the very definition of ephemera, so he clearly had an eye on posterity when he gathered these bits of paper. Shared here by @1916Collector

Paul Cézanne had an enormous influence on art in the 20th century; he inspired Picasso, Matisse and many more. From today, his magnificent La Vie des Champs belongs to the people of Ireland and is on free display following its acquisition by @NGIreland nationalgallery.ie/what-we-do/pre…

@1916Collector @NMIreland @Letters1916 @1916movie @NLIreland Thanks Conor - and I hope the same for you and yours in 2023 ! I don't mind admitting that 2022 was a brutal year for me and mine, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the back of it.. Just for fun, here's a creepy Christmas card ... turn it on its side to see a creepy Santa -

For the day that's in it - "A Squad of National Troops who Operated in the Attack upon The Four Courts, Dublin" The weapons on the floor look like they could be post-battle trophies? @FourCourts100
