Tories are demanding all the vetting documents on #Mandelson. 2022: Sir Keir #Starmer requests vetting documents on Boris Johnson's appointment of obvious KGB stooge Evgeny #Lebedev to House of Lords. Tories: "Nope." The #Hypocrisy STINKS.

Este saco de caca cazó a un aguilucho de cola rojiza y se tomó una foto. Lo que no sabe es que las aves rapaces están protegidas por la ley 19.473 y hay multa y cárcel por andar haciendo peor al mundo. Difunde. Comparte. Hay que cazar al cazador. Se lo ganó.

@darrengrimes No Darren... I cannot imagine a British Prime Minister forcing children into a creepy, slimy photo opportunity. The fact that you applaud it is disturbing. You must be a Deformer or something.

So all the other party leaders want Keir Starmer to resign. His success and growing stature as the PM and a respected world leader has made them all furious.

@pritipatel The best prime minister in 16 years is not going to leave office for a non story. He sacked Mandelson in September last year. It's finished.

Trump’s war is pushing up costs for millions - and Farage backed it from the start. Farage loved boasting about how close he was to Trump. Now the bills are rising, he seems to have gone quiet. So here’s a little reminder.

I think most people are now tired of the witch-hunt of our PM over the Mandleson affair which by comparison with other current world events is of no great consequence. They want him out because of his ongoing success in turning the country around after years of Tory corruption.

Interesting that Dominic Cummings didn't have clearence either but practically lived at No.10 with Boris,& was given the rose garden to mount that ridiculous excuse of driving to Barnard Castle to test his eye sight.Where was the witch hunt daily to get Boris out, then?

@Joseph_Boam That money came from central government. It was specifically for road maintenance. So you’re simply spending the money that was given to you for that very purpose. This is a pathetic attempt to claim credit for something you had no hand in. This sums up Reform precisely.

So, Starmer WAS telling the truth. Can we all calm down now..
Alex Wickham@alexwickham

BREAKING: Sources say Olly Robbins felt bound by the rules of the security vetting process NOT to tell the PM, No10 or the foreign secretary about the concerns raised about Mandelson That means it appears No10 WERE in fact unaware he had issues with his vetting And sources say in fact Mandelson DID NOT simply fail his vetting. Instead issues were raised and the FCDO security team and ultimately Robbins had to make a decision on whether to grant him DV clearance. It was their decision and there was no “overturning,” sources say As @SamCoatesSky reports via former security official Ciaran Martin, Robbins was prohibited from sharing information about what happened with anyone outside the FCDO security team Sources say the point of the vetting process is that it is extremely invasive and people who go through it must be confident they can tell the whole truth and not have highly embarrassing information about their personal lives leak or be spread around colleagues That means the circle of people allowed to know about what happens in each vetting case is very small and the information is highly privileged The decision on whether to approve Mandelson’s clearance, according to the vetting rules, is taken by a small team of FCDO security officials and ultimately Robbins, sources say Under no circumstance is Robbins or that team able to share the details of the vetting case with No10 or anyone else, sources say. Robbins felt he could not share it with any minister or private office, sources say It appears the PM and No10 were unaware of how these rules were perceived by Robbins and FCDO, and think he should have told them. Allies of Robbins think it is unfair he was sacked But crucially it appears right now that Robbins did not tell No10 and they were actually in the dark about all this until Tuesday. What an unbelievable mess

@GHWTowler @IsabelOakeshott You will? I have to say, given the number of Reform members standing for elections, (obv not Yusuf - he paid Nigel £200k for his position of influence✔️), who turned out to be racist/pro Nazi/ dodgy, etc *, I predict you will “lose it”a lot. Strap in. * delete as applicable.
