Won a chess competition, a state piano competition, helped teach Greek at the local Bible college during high school, had the equivalent of an associates degree on graduating high school, took Calc 2 at college while still in high school, won state championship with his high school hockey team, hosted SART lectures at his university, was a judge for youth court. Got full ride doctorate offers from Davis and Boulder. Stanford and Berkeley didn’t bother to look at him. WASP male. Berkeley straight up told my brother he couldn’t get in because he was white.
