@midd2009 To be fair as much as PIF bank rolled it. Only Tripps of the initial batch was a big name. Bruno was a relative nobody and Burn and Wood weren't blockbuster signings. Net spend with Ashley was no where near what PIF have spent. Rafa has loads of respect amongst the fans

@1986Oblong PIF helped bring in players, Newcastle were all of a sudden a cash cow & hot property to players. Howe is a good manager but if people are going to praise him for the last 5 years then don't forget PIF. Howe is likeable, Tindall is hateable.

@solaidback69 Bringing in a manager with "pull" is great but we can't spend due to the rules...so whats it worth. We are clearly trying to take a new direction/approach.. more Brighton / Dortmund. Gonna be much more of a revolving door going forward with a young hungry and ambitious manager

So Newcastle United fans, most who've wanted Eddie out, asked for a manager with elite status & worldwide pull for transfers, so does our 'supposed' next manager Matthias Jaissle, have either of those requirements 🤔 Can his name draw players or his he an unknown commodity 😲

@nufcfans Probably underwhelming in the eyes of many but I think Damsgarrd at Brentford is a brilliant little player. MGW would be superb as a 10. But need a deeper lying playmaker pulling the strings

When Bruno inevitably leaves… who do #NUFC get in? He’s obviously irreplaceable but theres still a gaping hole in midfield and a purchase required. Yes, Sean Steur looks like a proper player and always wants the ball in Bruno fashion but he’s only 18.

I look at this squad and I genuinely cant see another player (if Bruno leaves) that is a guaranteed starter or a stand out leader other than Hall.

@Richypea1 @SkySports_Keith Exactly.... I don't understand why people seem to be struggling with this concept. If a high level member of staff leaves in any business...There is generally a meeting with all relevant staff to explain the situation and the plan going forward. #nufc are no different.

@SkySports_Keith Clearly it’s a bit more than just being “told about his departure”, I’m sure the players knew that already. Probably more about the background to him leaving, what transfer policy will be moving forward, information on the new manager and what the club expects to happen next.
