@Moquero_ 1) Solar Energy will give you stable voltage because you don't load all your appliances at once. 2) Solar as a Back up, because again you can't load all your Appliances at once. 3) Solar as a Back up, you can only enjoy it fully when the weather is sunny.

You are not okay if you think availability is what makes the filling stations not to have queue.
Reno Omokri@renoomokri

This was our reality in Nigeria before Asiwaju Bola Tinubu became President of this great nation. When this photo was taken, our country was the largest importer of petrol in Africa. And it did not end there. Our government was paying subsidies to importers, not refiners, who were importing petroleum at astronomical levels. And even with that, Nigerians were still sleeping in petrol stations because the subsidised imported fuel meant for Nigerians was being smuggled to neighbouring nations. Now, I want to pose a challenge to you reading this. If in the last three years of President Bola Tinubu, you have ever slept at a petrol station or queued for fuel for long hours, because of fuel scarcity, please signify in the comment section and name the date and place. The fact is that Nigeria, under Tinubu, has gone from being the largest importer of petrol in Africa in 2023 to being the largest exporter of petroleum products in West Africa in 2026! And President Tinubu's policies have created this reality. We are not where we should be. Progress comes over time, not overnight. Yet, we are not where we once were. Our country is progressing. Yes, petrol prices have gone up recently, but that is a global challenge caused by the Middle East crisis, not by any misgovernance in Nigeria, as Peter Obi wants you to believe! Hydropower is still the most reliable source of Energy in this country considering the running cost. I don't know why the silly Government are not expanding on it.

@Royskin @bigbrovar No, they don't just wing it. They have constraints as well, hence while you think they are all uneducated.

@bigbrovar The citizens aren't literate enough to know how this works or how to maintain it. And we don't have technicians doing the actual job. Take a survey, you'll see that most of the people in the distribution companies aren't technically educated. They just wing it.

Nigeria’s grid has frequent voltage surges and power quality issues, often tied to weak distribution infrastructure like overloaded or undersized transformers and poor neutral grounding. Many of these spikes go unnoticed but gradually damage appliances and shorten their lifespan. A practical fix is installing a Surge Protection Device at your service entrance, along with a proper earthing system. It helps absorb voltage spikes and protect your equipment. However, it will not solve voltage fluctuations. For that, you need an AVR or a voltage protector to ensure only safe voltage reaches your appliance

Omoh 😂 the nonsense you people tweet de muzz me. Inverter voltage is so stable that anything it can power will work efficiently. I have a Russel hobbs microwave that i thought was bad until i used it with solar. Grid supply 160-190v (20 mins microwave is not hot) Inverter 230v (30 secs and water is hot) Fridge freezes now, AC works better, everything is just performing better. Electricity is Electricity. Gas, wind, water, sun = sources of electricity
