Guess the first tweet should be an introduction! I’m a dad raising readers and leaders 📚 I thrift books, read with my kids, and believe stories are one of the greatest gifts we can give them. Let’s build libraries together.

One of my favorite books to read to my children, is tales of extraordinary men and women. Our latest read is Bazooka Charlie. If you are into WW2, Piper Airplanes, and bazookas, this a book for you!

I wish I could just lay anywhere and read a book. Unfortunately my back would never let me up….

The world that Tolkien built is so rich, descriptive, and beautiful. When I read his work, I feel transported to a real world. I highly recommend people read all his works.

@1Dad2ReademAll I’m so excited for you to dive into the world of “Scot Thomas Harvath”. Here they are in descending order. Just don’t skip.

@EODHappyCaptain My first time my brain couldn’t quite keep up. I know it probably was for a few seconds but it felt like I “watched” everything happening for hours.

The first time in combat feels weird. Everything gets really quiet right before. Everything feels out of place. No kids playing. No herds of goats around. Just quiet. The type that makes the hairs on your neck stand up. And then it’s not quiet at all.
Kron@Kronykal

As I’ve said before I was non-combat. We had air conditioning. Sue me. But, for those of you who can talk about it, I’d love to hear how you felt the first time you knew you were going to be in actual combat. The minutes before. I think I’d have been shitting bricks. Ngl.

@_travischase I have a similar rule with my daughter. However when I go to bed she must go to bed. She would stay up all night otherwise.

@1Dad2ReademAll My parents were great. I had a bed time, but as long as I was in bed and reading I was allowed to stay awake as long as I wanted. Clive Cussler books were the first adult books my dad turned me onto. I think Flood Tide was the first one I read. Then I went and found the rest.

My two favorite novels that I own. It has nothing to do with how good they might be or what genre they are. These two books I “liberated” from my father’s collection when I was a teen. My parents created my love for reading. I hope I can do the same for my own children!

@Nfcnorth21 I have not ready anything by Le Carre yet. My wife just picked up Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy for me. It will be my next read.

@1Dad2ReademAll The Ian Fleming 007 novels are so incredible. One of the few series I have core memories of. Next to The Dark Tower series and oddly enough, Dante's Divine Comedy.

My wife said I needed to display some of my coin collection and got me a holder. Granted this isn’t a 1/10th of the coins I’ve acquired over a career but I think it turned out well!
