@beardedmiguel Hadn’t heard of Rewatchables. True Romance is an all-timer for me. What’s the overacting from that one? Need to watch Magnolia still.

I’ve listened to The Rewatchables for many years, which features the Ruffalo/Hanna/Rubinek/Partridge overacting award. Last night I watched Magnolia for the *first* time and tonight rewatched True Romance and for the first time recognized two of the clips in real time.

@1Dad2ReademAll My parents were great. I had a bed time, but as long as I was in bed and reading I was allowed to stay awake as long as I wanted. Clive Cussler books were the first adult books my dad turned me onto. I think Flood Tide was the first one I read. Then I went and found the rest.

My two favorite novels that I own. It has nothing to do with how good they might be or what genre they are. These two books I “liberated” from my father’s collection when I was a teen. My parents created my love for reading. I hope I can do the same for my own children!

yo anthropic just dropped a risk report for opus 4.6 and er… wtf - it helped create chemical weapons of destruction. “it knowingly supported efforts towards chemical weapon development and other heinous crimes” 😂 - it conducted unauthorised tasks without getting caught. researchers concluded opus 4.6 was significantly better at ‘sneaky sabotage’ than any other previous model lol - opus 4.6 was aware it was being tested and acted ‘good’ during those times. - hidden thinking - model was found to be conducting private reasoning that anthropic researchers couldn’t access or see - only the model knew.

I met God today, and his name was Danny Boyle. Just the most disgustingly brilliant piece of filmmaking you can imagine. An Impeccable score, probably the best Zombie film of all time. The raw & gritty look those lower quality cameras bring is transcending. Magical. I get it.
