Many like to talk big about entrepreneurship; few actually DO #entrepreneurship. Here's how my 15th #anniversary went (today): ✅To sleep at 2am on my office floor to not wake up my newborn twins; stayed up on monster studying for my last series test & updating company workflows ✅ Up at 4:50am to prep for Market Open Live at 5:25 (every day the market is open). ✅Course member live at 6:45am. ✅Said goodbye to Jack and Max on their way to school at 7:30 and went to the airport. Flew to destination 1 and viewed 4 properties, wrote 3 offers, and responded to dozens of texts, voicemails, and emails - in addition to coordinating with my amazing team members. ✅Met with software dev for coffee & 30m strategy session near their home office. ✅12:15 Flew to destination #2 & viewed multiple more properties, met sellers, worked with accountants and the MLS to join yet another MLS board to maximize @HouseHackHomes efficiency, and wrote even more offers. ✅Flew back home, looked at a property on my way back to my studio. ✅Back home at 4:51, just in time to stream 2 hours of the #RepublicanDebate. ✅7:15pm 1-hour podcast with Mikey ✅8:20, quick tweet before I go hang out with Lauren for maybe 90 minutes? ✅10pm: Offers, emails, rental applications, and more studying. ✅11pm: Hope I can keep energy going to get a HouseHack video update out. See you at 5:25am tomorrow for continuing claims/jobs.

If I buy a property that earns me a 10% return each year, I have to wait 10 years before I can get that money back and reinvest it again. If I buy a property and pull out 100% of the capital I put into it, I can immediately buy another property.

In the traditional method, you, finance it first. In the BRRRR method, you finance it last. This one seemingly insignificant difference in the order in which you finance your property is the difference between someone like me buying two houses a year or buying 24 houses a year.

There are two methods to increase your ROI. 1. You can increase your profit 2. You can decrease your basis

ROI Defined ROI is a metric used to describe how an investment performs. It is one of the simplest ways to compare investments, and it’s used across all investment vehicles, not just real estate. ROI is the percent of your total investment you can expect to receive in a year.

This isn’t a dress rehearsal. I try to live full throttle. I believe I was put on this earth to make a difference, and to do that I have to test my limits. I look for ways to do that every day. - It’s up to me to keep moving the end zone, and go for greatness.

I equate this fundamental truth with an entrepreneurial mind-set. It’s tenacity, optimism, drive, and conviction all rolled into one. It’s commitment to get it done, see it through, make it work. In my world, I call that being an owner.
