@1GregLewis @GillsInTheBlood Top 7 in L2 or Millwall in the Championship that you have loads more connection and affinity for come calling with a challenge and plea, it's a no brainer that he'd go back there every time, not even close.

@mike_gammon @GillsInTheBlood I disagree. I think if we were in the Top 7 he would have stayed and seen it through. But we'll never know.

@GillsInTheBlood There is no doubt in my mind he'd have still ditched us when Millwall came calling like he did with Cambridge, we'd still have the same issues and challenges.
If we knew then what we know now that we'd not have it as good as with him for years to come, how depressing is that?

Embarrassed. Despondent. Frustrated. All I can take away from that is I am so proud and thankful for the brave souls who travelled I don’t know how many hours to support us. We are still Gillingham FC. We are still a tight community of people who want to be proud of our team. We are clearly not even close to that right now. Gotta figure this out.
