@JFCrisp I think it’s a good thing for the Nansen Award to recognise the good work of more than one person or organisation per year. Congratulations to Taban Shoresh and her colleagues. I hope this recognition results in more support for their work with forcibly displaced people.

We lost a staunch refugee rights HERO! Ravi Hemadri (extreme left on black trouser/purple shirt//grey beard), a seasoned human rights advocate from Delhi, with over 3 decades of dedication on rights of refugees, Adivasis, Dalits & migrant workers, has passed away this morning.

Outrageous. 80 year-old former UNHCR director who has spent his retirement working on behalf of refugees is arrested and interrogated by Tunisia. NB. Tunisia is a key EU 'partner' in the field of 'migration management'.

Although over 750,000 Rohingya were forced to flee their homeland 7 years ago, Australia has accepted only a few hundred Rohingya since 2008. The Australian Government must honour its commitment to increase resettlement places for Rohingya refugees. refugeecouncil.org.au/rohingya-7-yea…
