They would get paid though. They can work one 7 hour day a week for there UC and another day for there social housing rent if they don’t own their own home. Plus they don’t pay council tax that another 100-200 a month. There’s people many millions who choose not to work and could. They don’t want to and have been able avoid it for many years some of them. I know of some who have avoided it for over a decade.

@mullersmian1 @therealmissjo @Telegraph Actually yes they do pay council tax. If you live alone you get 25% off, the same as everyone else. You only get 100% off in exceptional circumstances. Right so why aren’t you reporting them for fraud? Do you know all of their circumstances? Health records perhaps?

@malma421 @Telegraph I know. 1.88m now equates to a massive plural. There’s only 720k jobs available & likely some of those will be niche jobs that need specific training, some of those maybe even zero hours, “casual” or seasonal jobs. AI hasn’t even properly started yet…
