I know it’s separate continuities but they REALLY fumbled changing Rosalina’s backstory for the movie and not keeping it the same from the games
Cuz now (not gonna spoil) new fans are gonna be confused by the lore of the movie to the games when they play any game with Rosalina

@Bingus_Artworks @BleuSpheres Galaxy 2 is after a universe reset, and you can argue the ease of information access is for gameplay purposes since it's a sequel. Not saying the movie couldn't have followed this plot, just that Rosalina's purpose in the first game is more than just sitting around.

@wariocolosseum I think Gusty Garden is supposed to be what the Bowser planet turns into at the end, but it's so ambiguous that it doesn't really count.
I think it's more egregious that they use the term "Galaxy" even more loosely than in the original games. Those are just planets.

I’m sorry but saying it does nothing for either character is just blatantly wrong, peach was questioning her origins from the get-go. The plot by all means has holes, but on the very surface it does something for peach, and that’s reuniting her with family.

@CattyPeachy She's not a girlboss, but she does have attitude as evidenced by the original Strikers games and her Smash trophy descriptions. Peach also has some 'tude in the RPGs, and they even kinda touched on it in the movie, but nowhere near as much as Daisy. It's not just fanon.

@APPictures9 It's not about literal time on screen, it's how active they were as a part of the plot. Fox is an active participant from the moment he's introduced, whereas Rosalina is only active in the first couple minutes, otherwise she's sitting pretty in her cage.

@hcardb @APPictures9 I think it's more that he's actively engaged for that 30 minutes. You might not *see* him, but he's still doing things as a part of the main group. Be it fighting the UFO, fixing his Arwing, or distracting Bowser Jr's fleet, you still know he's there and working even if not seen.

@APPictures9 When people say Fox had 30 minutes of screentime they just mean he’s introduced in the last 30 minutes of the movie. This also goes to show that the “time” of screentimes is really illusionary, even just 4 minutes will seem like a really long time when utilised well.
