Not gonna lie, noticing how Las Vegas boulevard is surrounded by Ripple ads triggered me a bit “Why isn’t it Bitcoin?”, I thought But then again, what’s the difference? If you’re gonna use BTC and XRP speculatively without making any payments, they are mere tickers in your portfolio. It doesn’t matter that one is centralized and the other one is decentralized if they’re used in the exact same way. And after seeing so many otherwise hardcore bitcoiners tap their cards to pay in Vegas (a few of them were even happy to pay with their Gemini cards because they earn BTC on the exchange), I’m more bearish than ever on this community If the guys who preach about the separation of money and state choose not to use the freedom tech for payments, we’re really screwed And also, in this scenario there’s no fundamental difference between BTC and XRP. They’re just speculative investments 🤷🏻‍♂️

@BitcoinSapiens I never understood the privacy issue. If people want a shadow currency to commit crime with, it can be made. In the meantime, Bitcoin's transparency is a feature. Not only for ledger security verification, but out government needs to be held in check too, you know.

If one man buying relentlessly is the catalyst for BTC going to $1 million, then almost no one is going to secure those gains, they will only see them briefly on paper. The arrogance to "engineer" a price without a competitive bid is unlikely to bear fruit. Demand must be broad.

We talked about this on the show today a bit. The perfect parallel is when GB drafted Jordan Love. They could have had Tee Higgins. That year, they lost by 5 in the NFCCG when Davante Adams had 15 targets and the next GB WR had 6. Higgins had ~900 yards as a rookie. Would he have been the difference? Not sure, but you can't definitively say no. That's basically the debate each team had. Does this WR get us another ring while our old QB is still going vs will the QB secure the next decade after transition? I think arguing either side is reasonable.

@BitcoinRachy It's an arbitrary debate unless to define an investing limit/window. For example, whenever I come upon a large lump of cash I don't need, I buy Bitcoin ... The # of times I've done this over they years is, in effect, DCA. Randomized entry points.

The lump sum vs DCA debate is endless, but I want real data from real people: Have you ever done a big lump sum, then wished you had DCA’d instead? Or the other way around?

Bitcoin-backed loans sound genius until you realize: still debt, still interest, still someone else's vault. We sold our house in 2017 and never looked back. Loans are just a longer leash. Self-custody or you own nothing. 👊🏼

@Light36X @LizardWizardBTC Because a "cycle" is defined by recurring circumstances that influence the market. What recurring circumstance are you expecting? Halving impact is diminishing. Institutional capital inflows are unprecedented. These 2 things alone explain an 80% drawdown maxing out at 45%.

I know this is the classic line about valuing the QB position, but the (few) cases where the 1st round succession plan succeeded, it was all with QBs with high-end tools. Patrick Mahomes, Carson Palmer, Daunte Culpepper, Aaron Rodgers, and Jordan Love are the ones I can think of. All QBs with top shelf stuff to develop.
