The dude filmed it in a format 24 theatres in the US are capable of showing? and 8 of them are in California.

@IntrnationelHOV The 70mm distinction changes the projectors needed to display it as it was intended.
Between the aspect ratio and 70mm, the bottom line is there are 40 theaters globally and 24 in the US that can show it as Nolan wants it seen.
I don't see how that's anything other than silly.

I'm not the guy who went out of his way to film it in that format. The guy had to invent a rig to do it, he must think it's pretty important.

@SamMonsonNFL You guys are way overindexing on this being the "only" way to see it. It's going to be amazing in whatever aspect ratio you see it is. It's fun to go to the 70 IMAX screenings but it's hardly the only way

How?
He has a vision for how the movie should be consumed, and that vision can only be seen by a tiny fraction of people who want to watch the movie because it exists in 40 theaters in the world.
He's creating something he wants to be watched a certain way and knows it cannot be for most people.

The vision may be spectacular, but you've deliberately excluded most people from that true vision, which seems like the antithesis of your goal as a director.

I think there's a decent amount of leeway in rankings like this, but the guy who thinks there are FOUR linebackers better than Fred Warner needs to be drug tested immediately!
