Everyone who is up in arms about Trump "kissing Xi's ass" needs to understand that this is realpolitik and dealmaking. Trump is, by a mile, the most aggressive president America has had against the CCP in modern history. No one else imposed sweeping tariffs on Chinese goods, banned Huawei from domestic networks, put the entire CCP military-linked ecosystem on the entity list, restricted semiconductor exports, strengthened the Quad, and publicly called out China's currency manipulation, IP theft, forced tech transfers, and South China Sea aggression the way he did. Pre-presidency Trump was blunt. If you recall, as a candidate, he often complained about how "China was screwing us over." Literally in 2016 on the campaign trail, he said that "China is raping us." You need to understand that this posture completely shattered what was bipartisan elite consensus at the time - which was that more engagement with China on economic terms would liberalize and democratize China (ethnocentric projection once again), and that as China became more integrated into the global system, they would act more and more like responsible stakeholders. Every President since Nixon pushed closer economic integration while ignoring the OBVIOUS signs. This was especially supercharged under Bush, Clinton and Obama (but not Biden). And yet at the time, the mainstream media painted him as a xenophobe for this kind of rhetoric. It wasn't even a subtext - they directly alluded to how Trump was being racist against the Chinese for calling out their unfair trade practices. Once in office, Trump refined it into a strategy that actually moved the needle while dialing back his strong rhetoric. The personal flattery - calling Xi a "great leader," talking up respect for China, saying they'll have a "fantastic future together," is all Machiavellian Art of the Deal stuff. Flattery costs nothing and makes the other guy more willing to give ground without looking like he's folding domestically. The CCP's entire system is built on the leader's prestige. Publicly humiliating Xi or treating him like a subordinate would make him dig in, rally nationalists, and push him to retaliate harder just to save face. I don't actually think Trump knows about Chinese "honor culture" and the obsession with mianzi (face), but for whatever reason, Trump instinctively understands authoritarian psychology and how to work with it. The problem is that intellectual types, especially those steeped in liberal internationalist frameworks, tend to struggle with parsing the difference between rhetoric vs. revealed preferences. They're hard-wired to overweight the former. They treat diplomatic language as a window into the soul, as if it maps directly onto intent rather than as front-facing tool of statecraft. China weaponizes this brilliantly. It's a lesson everyone should've learned by now. With Trump, ignore the optics and ignore what he says. Just look at his actions, and look at his results.

NOW - Trump to Xi: "We're going to have a fantastic future together. I have such respect for China. The job you've done. You're a great leader. I say it to everybody. You're a great leader."

@MsMelChen exposes how a Chinese billionaire fathered 100 children through American surrogates to secure US passports. This is not an isolated case; China systematically uses America's own high-trust culture to subvert it from within. How many of our systems have already been compromised? .@MsMelChen explains why the American way of life is the greatest threat to the Chinese Communist Party's survival. At Tiananmen Square in 1989, students built a Statue of Liberty and recited the Declaration of Independence. The CCP called it "spiritual pollution" and they have never forgotten it. Why would individualism, liberty, and democracy be such a threat to China? Watch here 👉 l.prageru.com/4uDgKPg

A decade ago, Hollywood decided it would no longer honor films based purely on merit but also on the diversity of the cast and production team. In 2020, they formally tied Best Picture to diversity. The Academy expanded its membership by roughly 40% in a decade through an explicit push to diversify its ranks. The Oscars will proudly tell you that last year’s invitees were: >41% women >45% people of color >55% from overseas For 88 years, the Academy selected members and honored achievement based on merit. For the last 10 years, invitees went from 112 per year to over 900 to meet diversity targets. This devalues and dishonors great American films and creates perverse incentives that lead studios to inflate diversity numbers in hopes of recognition by their woke peers. Meritocracy must be restored to film.

L'égalitarisme a creusé l'inégalité. — Les politiques de discrimination positive à Harvard : étudiants admis avec des scores très en dessous de leurs camarades, taux d'échec dispropportionné, sentiment d'imposture, ressentiment généralisé. On a saboté ceux qu'on voulait aider.
Eduardo Suarez@EduardoSuarez25

NEW: Congresswoman Lauren Boebert @laurenboebert will be backstabbing President Trump tonight while she is campaigning with Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie in Kentucky. Making Boebert’s betrayal even more disgusting is the fact that on May 5th, Boebert was featured in the @nytimes in a spread about how she is taking on male members of Congress who are sexually inappropriate with young female staffers in Congress. She even posted the following to her X account in March: “To all the members of Congress that voted today to continue to conceal Congress’s sexual harassment slush fund, go home and tell your daughters what you’ve done.” In May, Boebert appeared in the New York Times, where she advertised being a resource for staffers on the Hill who are being sexually assaulted or harassed by their powerful bosses . Source: nytimes.com/2026/05/02/us/… Despite her big talk, Boebert is still choosing to appear in Kentucky with Massie, an individual who has been accused by Cynthia West @Cyntaxed007 of dating her, helping her obtain a congressional job, and then being the force behind her firing by @RepSpartz when Cynthia no longer wanted to date or have sex with Massie. Massie has been accused of the exact same behavior Boebert claims to be fighting against. Yet, she won’t stand with Massie’s accuser, Cynthia West… Isn’t that strange? Seems to me like Lauren Boebert is full of shit. But, I think we have all known that for a long time. RECEIPTS 👇🏻

President Trump endorsed Lauren Boebert @RepBoebert for reelection in July of 2025. Today Boebert is campaigning with Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie. Trump gave Boebert an endorsement and major fundraising support. Boebert repays Trump by campaigning with someone Trump wants voted out. Talk about disgusting disloyalty.

The main issue here is that DNI Tulsi Gabbard is being targeted - and that needs to stop & those responsible need to be held accountable.
General Mike Flynn@GenFlynn

There is a systematic effort to cut @DNIGabbard off at the knees. That is clear. The whistleblower said what he said. There was also clear semantics in play, for instance, the use of the word “raid” by some was too strong and not what actually happened (but documents were removed nonetheless). The bottom line, with all the BS we now know the CIA has done in the past 70 plus years, to include their involvement in the assassination of a president, it’s about time for our @POTUS to consider very serious reforms of the CIA. We can no longer afford to play this guessing game any longer. Americans simply don’t trust the organization at all. Reforms are past being necessary, they are now mandatory. And while the president is at it, there also needs to be a check on the shadow agency that exists and runs parallel to the one that sits in Langley. Thank you for all your excellent analysis and reporting.
