Here is an update to our Munsch Madness before we are off from school for a week a half! We can't wait to see the winner! Sorry @LKrantzberg that Pigs didn't win, but we can't wait for you to read to us again!

Nothing makes a Monday better than a hot chocolate party! After working hard on writing instructions for how to make hot chocolate, @1bojcs got to make their own! ☕️ @The_OJCS

We’ve had 3 very special guests read to us this week for Munsch Madness! Madame Marlene, Morah Lianna (@LKrantzberg) and Ms Brigitte (@literacy_edge)!

We had a special guest read our Munsch Madness book today: Ms. Laderoute! She read “Aaron’s Hair” to us!

Here are the results after week 2 of Munsh Madness. So far, "I have to go" is in the lead for our favourite! Which book do you think would win?

We joined our friends in 1A this morning for Shabbat! We love getting to do activities with our friends in the other class

Not sure about my prediction but my hope is for an early spring 🌞

To celebrate Groundhog Day we made our predictions on if we think we will have 6 more weeks of winter or an early spring. What is your prediction?

Grade 1 had a great time using all of our fresh snow to turn each other into "snow volcanoes" today. #TheOJCSDifference

Such a fun day! We got to wear pyjamas to school and watch the movie “sing”! We even got to bring our stuffed friends to watch the movie with us! @The_OJCS

Ss in @1bojcs were sad that they didn’t get to make edible dreidels before winter break because of the snowstorm so we decided to make them today! They were even more excited when they found out they could actually spin! @The_OJCS

We used our dreidels in math class to help us with graphing and data management. We put whatever Hebrew letter the dreidel landed on on our graph to see which we would see the most!

We are learning about graphs so we decided to open up our own ice cream shop. We narrowed down our flavours to: Candy Island, Cotton Candy, S’mores and Chocolate and Vanilla swirl. Which would you choose? @3Aojcs @Jon_Mitzmacher @kerengordon26 @ReichsteinS @The_OJCS

Ms. Brigitte @literacy_edge read us a funny book called “The Slug” by Elise Gravel today. We are so excited to be reading more books written by Elise Gravel during our “author study”

@LKrantzberg we are wondering why the word chicken has an e but sounds like it has an i..any ideas?

We now finished all the Hebrew Alef Bet with the 'ah' sound, which means we can read and follow along full stories. Our Morah @a_aizenberg said she is very impressed! 🙂 @The_OJCS
