@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Honestly, your second line made me chuckle since you still haven't answered my point once, just kept going with labels and the AI thing the whole conversation. Anyway, not going in circles anymore. You can have the last word on it if you want.

@1chekh @SmartRandomGuy Bro you're just saying things now I'm not sure why you're picking this hill to die on Yazeed was an evil tyrant and anyone who says otherwise has some weird agenda or is a nasibi I'm having husn al dhan that you're not a nasibi

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Brother stop, you sound so silly. "Music is haram" is a fiqh ruling with defined usul and structured ikhtilaf discussions. But "Ahl al-Sunnah hate Yazid" is a vague historical generalisation, not a codified usuli statement. It's not the same category at all. Like not even close.

@1chekh @SmartRandomGuy Ahlul sunnah say music is haram. Do you have an issue with this statement?

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy 'Ahl al-Sunnah hate Yazid' is a claim of unified position. That's exactly what ijma' implies in meaning, even if you don't use the term. Like come on man fr?

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy People always say 'you're using AI' when something is well structured. If that's the best response, then there's nothing left to say.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy 6) So the actual issue is not "did scholars criticize Yazid?" They did. The issue is, can you flatten those differing scholarly treatments into one absolute, unified "Ahl al-Sunnah position"? That's where the argument breaks.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy 5) And your comparison to other fiqh issues fails. Those issues have structured usul and documented consensus discussions. Yazid is treated in Sunni sources as a historical khilaf matter, not a single codified ruling.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Ijma' matters because you're making a sweeping claim about Ahl al-Sunnah. And even in the khilaf you mentioned, the 'ulama differed without turning it into a test of iman or expelling people from Ahl al-Sunnah.

@1chekh @SmartRandomGuy I don't need to bring ijmaa because i never claimed it The main khilaf between ahlul sunnah are 1. Is he a kafir or not, 2. Can we curse him This is the guy you want to defend? Lol

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Even if the narration is understood that way, no 'ulama made it a general rule of iman for all people. You're taking a statement and turning it into a blanket usul, which is not how fiqh al-nusus works.

@1chekh @SmartRandomGuy No, i just explained what imam ahmad said He quite literally said "does anyone with iman love yazeed" I didn't add to his words.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Insults are not gonna make you right. You brought a statement from Imam Ahmad. I asked you for ijma'. Those are not the same thing.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Meanwhile you turned a historical khilaf into a matter of iman and started making ta'n in iman over it. That is ghuluww, not the manhaj of Ahl al-Sunnah.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Love of Yazid is not from the usul of the aqidah of Ahl al-Sunnah in the first place. The ulama' differed about him. Some made dhamm of him, some remained silent, and some defended him politically. Yet none of them made takfir of the others over it.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Bring one text from the books of aqidah where muhabbat Yazid is made part of iman. There is no ijma' on that, and you know it.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy And where in that quote did Imam Ahmad say every Sunni must phrase the issue exactly the way you did? You quoted Imam Ahmad's personal stance on Yazid. That still isn't ijma'.

@FoxTheBrown @SmartRandomGuy Imam Ahmad not openly cursing Yazid ≠ 'Ahlul Sunnah hate Yazid but don't curse him' being some unanimous creed you can speak for everyone with. There were different Sunni positions on Yazid. You quoted one scholar, not an ijma'.
