As a former foster kid, this hit home for me in a big way. You do not hear too many politicians or people running for office even talk about foster kids, adoption, or the families who step up for children who need a real home. That is one thing I have in common with you, @RickJacksonGA. We both came from the foster care system, and that makes this message mean even more to me. We hear a lot of talk about being pro-life, but not enough about adopting children, supporting foster families, and fighting for the kids already here who need love, support, and a real chance. Foster parents are true heroes. People who adopt are true heroes. I love this because at the end of the day, children need more than words. They need love. They need support. They need a home. And seeing a former foster kid become a true success story and now run for Governor is powerful. That tells me a lot about the kind of leader he could be.
