In light of my previous posts regarding recent visitors to Doha, whether they are here on official business or for leisure activities such as the Formula 1, UFC events, @VisitQatar or conferences like the Film Festival, the Wall Street Journal Tech Conference, and the upcoming @DohaForum , I want to address some misunderstandings. A powerful PR agencies have been funding some of these disinformation campaigns, receiving money from various sources, including significant amounts from foreign entities. We are aware of all of them. I have been personally attacked by these paid actors when I challenged their narratives, but I don’t care; I will continue to defend the Qatari-USA strategic alliance, which I believe will foster more cooperation just like those who strongly defend America first. When I respond to counteract this powerful and radical influence by legal and transparent means, these extremists retaliate by accusing Qatar of “influencing Americans.” The work is crucial to countering dark operations and protecting the Qatari-USA strategic alliance. Extremists and paid actors are reacting strongly within their eco chamber because their disinformation campaign has been undermined by these visitors, who are freely engaging with people, asking questions, and participating in constructive dialogues. These individuals within their echo chambers have been selectively attacking those who share their positive experiences in Doha. They have falsely accused certain young Americans of being paid to post specific narratives and of being controlled in their inquiries. These claims serve only to advance a misguided extremist agenda and false. Many tourists have chosen to engage with officials and non officials about their experiences, even in the face of these attacks. It’s important to clarify that they are encouraged to ask anything they wish; no one is pressuring them to post anything specific. These are free Americans deciding how to express themselves, and they are always welcome in Qatar. Some have claimed they were denied access to Qatar or instructed not to inquire about certain topics. This is also untrue. My message to them is simple: enjoy the Visa Waiver Program that the US and Qatar have established and come to Qatar at your convenience. This weekend, Qatar will host a significant geopolitical event called the @DohaForum where a diverse array of international visitors, including both officials and non-officials from the United States, will attend and speak freely on any topic they choose. Our country is committed to fostering peace, constructive dialogue, and strengthening our strategic alliances, especially with our key ally, the USA, with whom we have achieved significant peace agreements and are pursuing further collaborations. To the extremists, I would like to share some verses from holy texts that underscore the importance of our values: - As the Bible states, “Blessed are the peacemakers” (Matthew 5:9). - The Quran teaches, “And if they incline to peace, then incline to it” (Quran 8:61). - The Torah reminds us, “Seek peace and pursue it” (Psalms 34:14). - The Quran also advises: **يا أيها الذين امنو ان جاءكم فاسق بنبأ فتبيونا ان تصبوا قوما بجهاله فتصبحوا على ما فعلتم نادمين** (O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with a report, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful).
