@john_siglerr Ok, but when I compare a new Olave contract with Wilson or Pierce, the cap hit will be still at ~10m through the signing bonus.
When I compare a new contract to Amon-Ra or Lamp the cap hit will be 13,5-15m.
I do not think that we can lower Olaves capnumber as much as we need cap.

At the moment we stand at about 13,2m salary cap. With the rookies coming in, we are going down to ~5m. So a minimum of one bigger move must come to have a minimum of 10m for the season.
What do you think would it be @john_siglerr?

@john_siglerr I would prefer to have a Pittman for ~20 million rather than an Olave for ~ 25 million+ in the squad.
Additionally, an Olave trade would also yield a nice draft pick.

Saints could have afforded the pick swap, but the subsequent $59M extension would've been tricky to balance with Chris Olave's blockbuster deal in the works. Still wouldn't have minded trying it.

@adrianbb89 Ich verstehe den Gedankengang, aber die moves bringen eine Basis ins Team, die in den kommenden beiden Jahren zusammen 22 Draftpick hat und diese Rookies integrieren muss. Allein 8 Picks in den ersten beiden Runden. Ich kann es daher verstehen

so viel besser sind die Vikings in der Rechnung gar nicht. Klar ist Jefferson ein riesiges Pfund, dahinter nehme ich aber easy 2 Cardinals-Spieler bevor ich zum nächsten Vikings-Spieler komme.
Die Offensive Line und die eigene Defense sind der viel eklatantere Unterschied.
