Where does Edwin Sifuna take his money? ✅ He has had his law firm since 2011, generating an average of KSh 300K per month after expenses. ✅ ODM was paying him KSh 480K per month from 2018 until last month when he was removed as SG ✅ He was elected in 2022 as Nairobi Senator and has been receiving an average of KSh 1 million salary if you include sitting allowances and committee allowances. ✅ As Deputy Minority Whip, he was receiving something extra, two GK vehicles, airtime, mileage, etc. Hon. Permit me to borrow the Broad-Based Government's own logic.
When it suits them, they insist that the 'choice of photograph tells the real story.' By that standard, today's presentation is difficult to ignore.
The photograph accompanying Edwin Sifuna's rally is a tight close-up, creating the impression of a modest gathering. Yet everyone present knows the crowd was far larger. Meanwhile, President Ruto's roadside baraza in Amagoro, attended by only a few hundred people, is photographed and presented to resemble a mammoth rally.
The headline is equally curious. There is no 'battle for Western.' That contest has already been settled politically. Western Kenya has decisively embraced Linda Mwananchi.
We respectfully protest this level of editorial framing.
