Sad to hear one of my fav ever centre halves Dave Watson has had a diagnosed degenerative brain condition for the last 10 yrs. loved him for England . Now 78 He played for @KTFCOfficial v @CTFCofficial in 1985-6 in the conference.

I lobbied a great number of Conservative MPs in order to reopen the closed cancer centres, almost all of them ignored me. I asked for help, and the vast majority couldn't be bothered to even reply. One or two made a token gesture, to be palmed off by civil servants. One made a genuine effort - Graham Brady, and I thank him for that. There are a vast number of other issues on which the Tories have failed, but this one is particularly close to my heart. Had Tory MPs shown some backbone when my campaign started - countless lives would have been saved by those wonderful facilities. I will never forget that. I do hope to have positive news to soon share on the centres...
