Regarding the OpenAI case, the judge & jury never actually ruled on the merits of the case, just on a calendar technicality.
There is no question to anyone following the case in detail that Altman & Brockman did in fact enrich themselves by stealing a charity. The only question is WHEN they did it!
I will be filing an appeal with the Ninth Circuit, because creating a precedent to loot charities is incredibly destructive to charitable giving in America.
OpenAI was founded to benefit all of humanity.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1945 at age 17. He retired in 1990. That is 45 years of continuous active service — a record that almost no one in the history of the U.S. military has matched. He was one of the original 50 members of SEAL Team TWO when it was formed in 1962. He was still outrunning and outswimming trainees half his age well into his 50s. And then, at 72 years old, he went on Survivor — and became one of the most beloved characters in the history of American reality television. There has never been anyone quite like Rudy Boesch.
His name was Master Chief Petty Officer Rudolph "Rudy" Boesch. Born on January 20, 1928 — he enlisted in April 1945 at just 17, well before the war's end, and spent the next four and a half decades building a military career that touched every major evolution of Naval Special Warfare from its earliest days forward. He became an Underwater Demolition Team Frogman in 1951 — at a time when the UDTs were still defining what special operations could look like in the water — and in 1962, he was hand-selected as one of the original 50 members of SEAL Team TWO, serving as its chief of the boat.
He completed two combat tours in Vietnam, earning a Bronze Star for his actions across 45 combat operations. Forty-five operations. He returned from Vietnam and spent the following decades shaping the physical and professional culture of Naval Special Warfare — setting standards that trainees feared and respected in equal measure. In 1987, he was appointed as the very first Senior Enlisted Advisor for the United States Special Operations Command — USSOCOM — the command that oversees every special operations force across all branches of the U.S. military. He was the first man to hold that position. He earned the title of "Bullfrog" — the designation given to the longest-serving active-duty Navy SEAL — and he held it until his retirement in August 1990.
Then, in 2000, at 72 years old, he appeared on the first season of Survivor. He did not win. He came in third. And he became one of the most genuinely beloved figures the show has ever produced — not because he adapted to reality television, but because he did not. He was exactly who he had always been: blunt, direct, physically formidable, and completely without pretense. America fell in love with him immediately and never quite let go.
He passed on November 1, 2019, at the age of 91. He rests with full military honors.
He enlisted before World War II ended. He was still in uniform 45 years later. He helped found SEAL Team TWO. He completed 45 combat operations in Vietnam. He became the first Senior Enlisted Advisor of USSOCOM. He was the Bullfrog. And then — at 72 — he went on Survivor and reminded the entire country what a man shaped by a lifetime of real hardship actually looks like.
There was nobody else like him. There will not be again.
