But Near is not trying to be a full stack decentralized application platform - instead they are specialized to some use cases that they seem to be serving very well, which would make them terrific customers to our full stack platform - it’s the whole idea behind chain fusion and https outcalls that we can integrate so each chain can specialize on what they do best while offloading the rest to ICP.
So rather than flinging dirt at chains for not being proper oranges - when in fact they’re apples - perhaps it’s time to change strategy and look for opportunities in collaboration?
Instead of making videos claiming all our potential customers will go to zero, perhaps we should ask what we could do to serve other communities with the products we have?
And tbf (since some of this has come from dfinity back in the day) rather than call out dapps on other chain for not being fully web3, let’s help them become fully web3. I have said it before, but if you’re selling pants then running around pointing and laughing at people without pants isn’t the best strategy, even if it’s tempting. You discreetly help them out, and then you can both wear pants and have a civilized drink and do business.

Please, @jerrybanfield, stop this. The Internet Computer is supposed to support other ecosystems. Saying that all other ecosystems aren’t useful is a mistake. We should be onboarding other ecosystems, not disliking them. I also believe that the Internet Computer has by far the best technology, but that technology should be used to strengthen and support other ecosystems. If some ecosystems do not provide real value, they will fade away naturally. I think you should change your marketing strategy, because this approach will only push away people from other ecosystems and make them less likely to ever use the Internet Computer. $ICP

NEAR ecosystem is built different and the collective resilience must not go unnoticed. Not only did multiple independent teams come together swiftly after the Rhea exploit, they traced and RECOVERED ALL THE FUNDS.

NEAR DeFi protocol Rhea Finance exploited for at least ~$7.6M according to CertiK. Stolen assets include USDC, USDT, ZEC, and NEAR. Withdrawals are currently paused.
The attack vector: fake token contracts with fresh liquidity pools that likely misled the oracle and validation layer.
