@LonghousePrep At least have a bandolier of ammo in your bag too. UW and IW usually don’t have support like the normal military. Minimal comms, just enough to run atak, I think most people’s commo experience would get them killed. Water filtration is needed. But I guess if we are generalizing..

For a theory I want to test: What’s considered an acceptable combat load for the average person either in the mil or during mil type training as a civ? I’d say: - 6 mags - comms - IFAK - throwable (or way to carry one) - hydration for the duration - land nav gear - role specific gear Is this considered to be a decent generalization?

The thing about this issue is people who’ve never served see videos of these disgusting scammers and think that’s the norm. The norm is actually getting denied your VA mortgage because of old paint on the house, getting a Kafkaesque two year run around to get seen for the burn pit stuff, the only person on staff available for PTSD treatment is “community partner” specialized in LGBTQ+ and Latinx issues. Getting your GI tuition benefits cancelled because the moron doing the paperwork is incompetent. The norm is getting *denied* earned benefits and services through various hellish bureaucratic horror stories, not cashing in like the freaks on this show.
