It is not right for senators to receive their paychecks while federal employees are forced to go without pay as a result of Congress’s dysfunction. While I hope we do not see another shutdown anytime soon, this has been a longstanding policy of mine and I am glad to see it adopted.

We didn’t get to this on my MSNow segment, but we all saw it. And it was shocking.
This man should not be in the US Senate.
He simply is not well enough for the job.
And every day he’s there, our democracy and (our national security) is weaker.
This is a man responsible for overseeing defense strategy and spending. And he clearly can’t even run a meeting.
He wouldn’t be allowed to drive a car.
He shouldn’t be allowed to hold a Senate seat.
And he’s not alone in Congress.
There should be bi/non-partisan agreement.
If you can’t do the job, you should be out.
