Ceuta’s population jumped from roughly 83,000 to well over 130,000 in a single day after an estimated 50,000+ migrants poured across from Morocco. Most swam in. Locals were immediately overwhelmed, streets packed, homes and businesses under pressure, clashes with police, army deployed. This is what happens when borders become optional.
