gm took a late-night detour into the verifier @inference_labs has been building. Went in because of the robots-folding-laundry clip, stayed because I could watch intent → inference → a concise cryptographic proof land in a stream and be inspected in real time
I fed a tiny agent, nudged it toward a simple choice, and got a Proof of Inference that tied inputs, a model fingerprint, and an execution trace without leaking model secrets. The privacy trade-offs people fear felt like engineering at the edge, solvable not magical
After their Crucible season verified 100k agents, this stopped being an academic demo for me and became infrastructure that could make autonomous home devices and factory humanoids trustworthy
